Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the new Greek Prime Minister, was scheduled to take the oath before Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens today, Monday, July 8th.
The ceremony was to take place at the presidential palace in the presence of Prokopis Pavlopoulos, the President of the Hellenic Republic.
The taking of the oath of the members of the new government (for most of them, it will be a religious oath) will take place on Tuesday morning.
Let’s note that the former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras took a secular oath on assuming office.
