According to the official website of the Ukrainian presidency, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew sent his greetings to the Ukrainians on their Independence Day, through a phone call with President Petro Poroshenko. « My warmest greetings to all Ukrainians, covered by the love of the Mother Church of Constantinople, » he said.
