The Athonite Saint Panteleimon Monastery refused to receive a delegation from the new Ukrainian autocephalous Church

Metropolitan Paul of Odessa (new Ukrainian autocephalous Church) was received and even celebrated at the Athonite Pantocrator Monastery. But he was refused entry to Saint Panteleimon Monastery (see picture above) which he intended to visit on Saturday, February 9th.
According to the Greek site Romfea, as soon as the metropolitan arrived on Mount Athos, Archimandrite Eulogy, the hegumen of Saint Panteleimon Monastery, gave the order to close the doors to the representatives of the new Ukrainian Church. Besides, the Hegumen explained to Metropolitan Paul and his entourage that Saint Panteleimon Monastery does not recognize them, nor do the monks intend to ever do so.
