On January 28, 2019, at the end of its meeting, the St. Sergius Orthodox Theological Institute (Paris) Board of Directors issued the following communiqué:

Communiqué du Conseil d’administration de l’Institut Saint-Serge
Michel Stavrou

The St. Sergius Institute Board of Directors has taken note Mr. Jean-François Colosimo’s resignation as President and member of the Board of Directors, and thanks him for his effective action and availability, which allowed the Institute to initiate decisive reforms. The Board of Directors elected Mr. Michel Stavrou, professor at the St. Sergius Institute, as interim president until the next meeting of the Institute general assembly.

The Council also wishes to express its solidarity with the Archdiocese of Russian Orthodox Churches in Western Europe in the very worrying situation it is currently experiencing, and will remain attentive to future developments.
